Hearts and Flowers play in important role in the folk art of cultures around the world. They symbolize fertility and life, love, joy, and the rebirth of spring. This freeform five-sided potholder, with five unique hearts, is embroidered freehand on handwoven Cardinal motif (by Greentree Weaving) with bright red corduroy backing and two layers of repurposed blue jean inside for extra protection. As the fabrics are all preshrunk, machine washing and drying makes for easy laundering. Measures about 9" x 9".
