The mountain West of the US, where altitude and the dry climate magnify the clarity of the night sky for star-gazing, inspired this motif hand woven by Greentree Weaving decades ago. Though this is not the first version fo this motif, it is no longer in production. Its black yarns are interspersed with navy blue and sprinkled with rainbow-colored metallic threads to represent the stars. The theme of this purse is supported with a purple, gold-sparkle star-spangled lining and a vintage, hand painted Czech glass button, also a star-burst. The mearsurements are 8 1/2" wide by 7 1/2" tall, with a 58" strap.

As the material is 100% preshrunk cotton, laundering is easy, should it become necessary. Make sure every pocket is empty, of course. Turn inside out. Tie the strap into a large knot to minimize tangling. Wash warm and line or tumble dry gentle.
