Using some of Greentree Weaving's more vibrant motifs, a floral explosion of Spring-themed Joy, with some leaves of vintage silk, some hand-embroidered flower hearts, and even a bee made of embroidered silk from a vintage sari... A very three-dimensional work, exploring new ways of creating texture with this beautiful handwoven fabric.
This cheerful Pillow measures approximately 14 1/2" by 22" when flat, and comes with the inner cushion, made of remnants of cotton fabric and filed with 100% cotton scraps from my cutting table. The cover is reinforced inside with thrifted cotton shirt fabric and a thrifted corduroy back, and is finished with corner tabs and a velcro closure to the cushion stays in nicely but can be removed easily to launder.
"Spring Fantasy" Pillow
Made of hand-woven and thrifted cotton, with silk detail: As the material is 100% preshrunk, laundering is easy, should it become necessary. Remove the inner cushion and turn the cover inside out. Machine wash warm and tumble dry on gentle, or line dry. The inner cushion can be laundered this way as well, though thorough drying is very important.
