Amidst a thick carpet of fallen leaves, mosses, grass, mushrooms, ivy, and acorns, one acorn has sprouted, promising great things... Can you find the smail and the moth.  This was inspired by the bautiful, peaceful graveyards I visited in Germany this fall...

On thrifted tan corduroy, with handwoven New Leaf backing (motif by Greentree Weaving), this is my own original design, embroidered free hand in high-contrast green thread on my straight stitch industrial sewing machine:  there are two layers of recycled blue jean inside for extra protection for hands and tables.  This sturdy potholder measures apporximately 8 " wide x 9 1/4".
