This lovely Bouquet (in Pineapple design, I believe) is hand crocheted in white cotton by unknown hands, so nearly perfect, and well-loved. A few light stains resisted every effort, even sun bleaching, and remain as part of its history. Highlighted on a ground of gray and taupe heavy silk damask, it is handstitched in place.
The whole is displayed in a simple thrifted pine frame which was once nailed to the wall: the hole is covered by a vintage mother-of-pearl button carved in a sweet flower shape, echoing the floral motif of the silk background, and tied in place with a white satin ribbon.
The total measurements are 10" wide x 12". Signed by me, with provenance.
