"Reading" is family code for napping, especially if there's a fire in the fireplace and a good meal in our bellies! Inspired by my family's favorite gathering spot, with cat on lap and feet up, glasses and book set aside, dog basking, snow drifting down, and grandfather clock ticking gently...
On thrifted scarlet corduroy, with handwoven Cardinal (motif by Greentree Weaving) backing, embroidered free hand in ochre thread on my straight stitch sewing machine: there are two layers of recycled blue jean inside for extra protection for hands and tables. This sturdy hexagonal (made from a series of triangular scraps) potholder measures apporximately 11" from point to point, and 9-10" from side to side.
Cozy Reading POTHOLDER
As the material is 100% preshrunk cotton, laundering is easy, should it become necessary. Machine wash warm and line or tumble dry gentle.
